Choosing, placing, digging! Planting, shaping, tending!
Mulching, seeding, feeding!
With pride and giving, working and sharing,
so grows a park in Freeport.
Custom wrought iron lambs-tongue railings have been added to the steps.
New curbing and additional trees have been added by the MDOT.
The pathways have been given a brick and stone treatment.
A handcarved sign now welcomes you to the history of Freeport.
West Street Park is not only a place of beauty at the entrance to the village, but also offers time for quiet reflection at the September 11th Memorial provided by the Freeport Masonic Lodge # 23.

And we are never more proud of West Street Park than when it bears its stately display of Rememberance Flags on Memorial Day and Fourth of July.
FCIA has raised and invested over $20,000 in
the West Street Park project. Virtually all funds were
raised through private donations.Through the efforts of FCIA in receiving discounted trade services and prompting volunteer labor, the project was accomplished for many thousands of dollars less than standard estimates for an undertaking of this scale.
Thanks to all who made it possible.
