FCIA is very much a “hands-on” organization. As such, we are always in need of volunteers. The projects we have completed need looking after. We have ongoing projects that need attention from time to time as they progress. We have new projects on the list that we are anxious to begin. And we are always looking for new ideas and new ways to beautify our community.
Although we contract professional services when required, the heart of FCIA is in its volunteer base. There is always much to be done and there are things for everybody to do! Everyone can be involved in the community through FCIA.
Maybe you have a talent for building stone walls – or a fence. Maybe you really enjoy planting and looking after shrubs and floras. Are you familiar with pruning plants? Can you help us clear and stack brush? Got a pick-up truck, or a chainsaw, or a chipper, or a whatever you could help us with? Handy with a paintbrush? Can you spend a couple of hours helping us stuff donation envelopes – or spreading mulch? Maybe you can pick up stray bits of litter on your daily walk through town.
In addition,we are always looking for people who are good at project coordinating or that have some administrative ability. Would you be willing to manage a project?
