FCIAs Park Bench Project began in 2004 with the addition of benches along Main Street. The benches are natural gray granite, 16"x60" with polished surface.
Benches have been permanently installed at curbside and placed between the trees wherever possible.
We have installed twelve benches in this phase, with additions planned in the future.

The initial installation, completed in August, was primarily on the east side of Main Street, from the West Street Park to Elm Street. Visitors to the village have readily taken to this new amenity.
Following are some photos of the installation – and the result.

We did put one bench on the west side of Main Street, at the corner of Elm St.

It's just what we had in mind.
Thanks to L.L.Bean for the generous donation, and to Ken, George, Andy and Dick for their work on the project.
And a special thanks to Jay Yilmaz and JP Wallace for their generous help in making the installation a success.
